Pimlico CLI
pimlico lets you manage your Pimlico account from the terminal: balance, usage, invoices, request and user operation logs, sponsorship policies and API keys. It also works as an MCP server, so AI agents like Claude Code and Cursor can do the same for you.
Install
curl -fsSL https://dashboard.pimlico.io/install.sh | shLog in
pimlico loginYour browser opens on a Pimlico sign-in page. Choose whether the CLI acts on your personal account or on an organization, approve, and come back to the terminal. To skip that question, pass --personal or --org.
On a server or over SSH, use pimlico login --device. The CLI prints a link and a short code. Open the link on any device and enter the code.
Permissions
Any logged-in CLI can read your balance, usage, invoices, logs, policies and API key names. Changes need a permission you grant when you log in:
| Permission | Allows |
|---|---|
write:keys | Create, rename and disable API keys |
write:policies | Create, update, enable and disable sponsorship policies |
At login you tick the permissions you want. To skip the checklist, use --read-only or --scopes keys, policies. To change permissions later, run pimlico login again.
The CLI never shows an existing API key. pimlico keys create shows the new key once, so store it right away.
Use it with AI agents
Agents with a shell can run pimlico directly. Every command takes --json, and pimlico --help explains the rest to them. For MCP clients, add the server:
claude mcp add pimlico -- pimlico mcpTelemetry
The CLI sends usage telemetry to Pimlico, so we can see which commands people rely on and where they fail. To turn it off, run pimlico telemetry disable.
